1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Username, email address, password (hashed), profile photo, bio, and date of birth.
- Google Sign-In data: If you choose Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
- User-generated content: Audio recordings (Verses, voice room speech), text messages, comments, votes, reactions, and battle submissions.
- Reports and feedback: Any reports or support messages you send us.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device model, OS version, language, and unique device identifiers (used for push notifications).
- Usage data: App interactions, screens viewed, battle participation, and in-app search history.
- Push notification tokens: Stored on our servers to deliver notifications.
1.3 Permissions We Request
- Microphone: Required to record Verses and participate in voice rooms.
- Camera & Photo Library: Used to set your profile picture or share images.
- Notifications: To send you updates about battles, messages, and reactions.
- Network access: To connect to our servers and deliver content.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To host and display your verses, battles, comments, and profile.
- To enable real-time voice rooms and direct messages.
- To send push notifications about app activity.
- To moderate content and enforce our community guidelines.
- To improve the App's performance and features.
- To respond to support requests.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Other users: Your username, profile picture, public posts, verses, and battle entries are visible to other users.
- Service providers:
- Agora.io — Real-time voice room infrastructure.
- Google (Firebase / Sign-In) — Authentication and push notifications.
- MongoDB Atlas / Hosting provider — Secure data storage.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights and user safety.
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt).
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
- Access / Correction / Deletion: You may delete your account in the App settings (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or email support@dropbarz.app.
- Withdraw consent: Disable permissions in your device settings at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
BARZ Battle League is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. International Users
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice.
